The weather was nice and as we said previously, people came from all over. Several citizen's in the county, that couldn't make it, called in and donated money. There was one young lady that came, who approached the members collecting the money and said, "I live in Chesterfield and have never told the Officers how much I appreciate all they do. I want to make a donation and a large donation is what she gave." Yes, we agree with her. Many feel the same way as she. It's just time to s how that we do care. By 11:00 PM, this event was declared a huge success raising $2,510.00.

But, this event was only a success because of the many supporters that came and made it all happen. They deserve all the credit for the event. The members of the Southern Knights Cruisers and the Directors of Adopt A Cop of Virginia wish to thank each and every one that attended and made the event a success. Also, we want to thank all the Officers, their families, and other law enforcement personnel for working with members of the Southern Knights Cruisers. And most importantly, we want to thank O'Charley's for everything they do for the community. And Chris Crews, Manager, for his support & special attention to detail in making sure everything was just right. To all of O'Charley's employees that volunteered their time to do the cooking and work with us in this important event. You guys are just the "Best."
