This would also be the 1st event in which the Central Region of Adopt A Cop of Virginia, also known as AAC, would be involved with in Powhatan County. Steve Glazebrook of Powhatan has been designed as the Delegate of Adopt A Cop of Virginia in Powhatan County. As such, Steve will be working with the Sheriff's Office to provide help as needed under the AAC Program.

Bobbie Balch, Executive Officer for AAC, was at the event and told everyone how proud she was to have Steve as a representative of the AAC. She said that she had known Steve for many years and knew that he had always believed in helping where he could and especially where kids were involved. Steve will now be working with the Sheriff's Department to help the community. She thanked Steve for his continued interest and commitment in helping the community. She also thanked Steve for his hard work as chairman of the Powhatan Harvest Fest Party and all the other volunteers that helped make the event possible. As Bobbie said, "The Residents of Powhatan know how to throw a party!" And know that they do! But more importantly, they know how important it is to help each other.
