1st Annual Criminal Justice and Fire Science Car & Bike Show
These are more photos taken at the Criminal Justice and Fire Science Car Show at Southside Virginia
Community College in Alberta, VA.
The Southern Knights Cruisers that started the Adopt A Cop Program in Chesterfield County found out about the event and offered to help in any way. Chad and the students at the college
were very appreciative of the Southern Knights Cruisers for providing the sound system. And, with the "Wolf Man" being
there, you know it was a fun day. It is an event that's considered a part of the club's Adopt A Cop Program and it is a
part of their commitment to Law Enforcement. Also, you wouldn't believe the number of hobbyists and law enforcement
officers that wanted to know more about the "New Adopt A Cop Program." They had heard about the Adopt A Cop
Program, just didn't know that a car club was behind it."
Just a little more about the Adopt A Cop Program started in Virginia. A Radio Station was at the show at the college until about
11am. The announcer was also very interested in the show at the college which was started to raise money for the students
Endowed Scholarship fund. But, he was also interested in the Adopt A Cop Program. He had been told about it by
the Director of the College in charge of the show. They were waiting to interview Bobbie Balch on "The Bobcat" Radio
Station 93.5 FM. It is a country station with coverage from Suffolk to the east, Northern NC, to South Boston to west,
Roanoke-Lynchburg, Winchester, to Fredericksburg to the north, etc. Fairly large listening area. Anyway, the Police in the
Town of Blackstone, South Hill, Alberta, Lawrenceville, Clarksville, Brunswick County, Mecklenburg County, and the State
Police in that area now know all about the program, and that the community college as well as the Southern Knights Cruisers are
committed to this cause. This program is already being looked at in Virginia Beach and in the Newport News area.
Please support Adopt A Cop in your area. If you don't have it, check in to having your car club, business, church, or other organization
starting one to support your officers that protect you each and every day. Click on this link to find out more
